June in Dolz

The arrival of warmer weather has brought a noticeable change to our days in Dolz. Whenever possible, the children have been taking their work outdoors, enjoying the sunshine while reading, researching, writing, and collaborating with one another. It has been a pleasure to see how naturally they carry their concentration and independence beyond the classroom walls.

These past months have been filled with memorable experiences. Our time at Colònies provided opportunities for the children to strengthen friendships, embrace new responsibilities, and enjoy the adventure of learning together in a different environment. Back at school, excitement continued as we welcomed the arrival of Dave’s baby in mid-May. The children followed the news with great enthusiasm and shared in the joy of this special family milestone.

A significant focus of our work has been the preparation for the End of Year Project Exhibition. The children have invested a great deal of thought, creativity, and perseverance into their projects. It was wonderful to watch them take ownership of their learning and confidently share their discoveries with others.

Another highlight of the term was participating in the Cantata. The children had the unique opportunity to perform in Catalan alongside students from other schools, accompanied by a live orchestra. Their dedication during rehearsals culminated in a truly special performance and a memorable celebration of music and community.

As we approach the final weeks of the school year, we are proud of the maturity, curiosity, and commitment the children continue to demonstrate. It has been a season of growth, accomplishment, and shared experiences, and we look forward to making the most of our remaining time together.
